Note: As of the end of December 2017, Bucky has no phone, he has destroyed it. Consequently, this inbox can only be used for in person interaction. You are still more than welcome to post here without plotting with me first.

[ Clark might keep bringing him food.

He looks up at Bucky. ]

What did he say?

That he could stop me himself.

[His expression says pretty clearly what he thinks about that plan. As in, it's a terrible one.]

[signifies]

[ Clark feels people don't say that lightly and it should be taken at face value where possible.

Bucky is a complicated person even when Clark knows much more now than he did when they met. He can follow some of Bucky's logic and others seem to come out of the left field.

He frowns. ]

What's really bothering you about it?

[advanced]

He can't stop me, he proved that before.

[His eyes dart swiftly around to make sure there's nobody near enough to overhear, though that's not exactly a sure thing with people like Clark existing in the world.]

He was going to let me kill him rather than fight back, and even when he didn't know who I was and we fought, he didn't have the upper hand.

[signifies]

[ If Bucky was the type, Clark might have touched his (right) shoulder to reassure him. Only him and Jon have good hearing as far as he knows. Clark sees and hears a lot more than he lets on.

He nods as he listens. ]

You think he'll do the same here?

[advanced]

Yes.

[He has absolutely no faith in Steve to fight back if needed, not against him.]

He'll protect other people, but he won't protect himself well enough.

[signifies]

It won't come to that.

[ Clark's not sure what he would do. He's never had a friend like that. ]

I don't need to eat or sleep.

[ He doesn't like feeling as though he's Bucky's jailer but Clark can promise he'll be watchful and not let Rogers get hurt. ]

[advanced]

[He can't help the slightly strange look he gives to Clark, is there any weakness or vulnerability he has?!]

You already said you'd stop me. That's why I could see Steve, I knew you'd kill me if it became necessary.

[Maybe someone heard 'stop' and translated that to 'kill'.]

[signifies]

[ Clark's expression becomes troubled. ]

I'm not going to kill you.

[advanced]

[His own expression gets harder in return.]

You said you'd make sure I didn't hurt anyone else, that might be the only way.

[signifies]

[ He's more upset than angry. Clark doesn't want to kill anyone ever again. It took something from him the first time. The other Kryptonians should have lived along with him instead of what they did.

Now Bucky thinks Clark will kill him like he's doing Bucky a favor. ]

I'll keep my promise. I have somewhere I can make sure you don't escape from.

[ He's been reading on PTSD for Bucky and Ellie's sakes. Clark has observed them being violent because of situational triggers. If he can manage and mitigate fast enough (he's fast), they'll be okay. ]

I'm not going to kill you.

[advanced]

That's not enough.

[Or, rather, it might not be enough and that small margin of error is what terrifies him about that sort of plan.]

If I'm going for him, for anyone, it might be the only way. You can take me out, I know you can, and if you want to help me then you will.

[signifies]

It's not how I do things.

[ He can't bring himself to that place again.

Clark comes forward and pushes the backpack into Bucky's hands. He speaks very stiffly. ]

This is yours, you don't need to return it. All the utensils and bowls are edible.

[ Clark's going to leave before it becomes obvious how badly this is affecting him. He can't decide if he wants to hit something or stay up in the air for a long time.

He nods to Bucky. ]

[ He turns around and walks away, taking flight as soon as he's across the clearing. ]
