Pretty sure you're not unique in that, nobody knows their future.

[ Clark elbows him. ]

Let's go out to the backyard. It's good for her to get used to a friend of the family.

[He shrugs a bit awkwardly, still not quite knowing how to deal with such open phrases like 'friend of the family'.]

It's not like I'm around here often, the mailman calls more than me.

She's going to be coming with me more often.

[ Clark is firm on this. Bucky might not have a dog, but he can enjoy looking after a pet that's not afraid of him, and give her back to Clark afterwards. ]

[It's a flat and wry sort of acknowledgement.]

[ Clark beams at him and pats his shoulder. ]

[He rolls his eyes, but he follows Clark and the little creature out all the same.]

You should get Jon a pet, kid needs something to work with.

I always had a dog growing up, but I don't want to replace the one he has back home.

[ Krypto is different from other dogs. ]

Besides, I think Annora will keep us busy enough.
