[Davesprite's message comes shortly after lockdown. He would have sooner, but his attention has been eaten up elsewhere: getting inside without letting his anomaly in, dealing with three cartons of eggs (now all smashed from one of John's attacks), and finding a way to block the doors to keep John from coming inside anyway. He can't deal with a night of him hovering over him, demanding things, and he hopes that lockdown will be enough to keep him outside.]

[If nothing else, it will guarantee a certain answer on whether Bucky is safe.]

[It takes a moment for him to reply, because he's pretty slow at typing with one hand on a device he's not used to. But he'd rather type right now, he's had a day that hasn't left him feeling up to much conversation.]

Roger that, I made it to shelter too. Should be able to reach the houses you were talking about by tomorrow.

[Relief number one: at least Bucky is okay. He takes a second just to be glad for that, then rereads the message.]

i was pointing you southish then and what we want is to go east ultimately
do you know which house you ended up at
or else you can send me pictures and ill match it up either to what i remember or what this one guide says
and then i can point us the right direction from there

How do I take a picture?

[It's absolutely amazing to him that these things exist, it's like having a movie theatre in the palm of his hand.]

ok so theres an app on your phone that can do that
you open it up and if you tap the screen it takes a picture
theres also the option for video

[And he explains more in depth, not too complicated, but enough for Bucky to know what he's doing.]

[There's a few more minutes as Bucky gets the hang of it, before he sends a series of not very well taken pictures of the house he's in. It's number 37 on the actual map, not the IC one.]

[Oh, he knows that house. The memory stabs into him, the shape of the rooms, the furniture in them, fuzzing over with static to greater or lesser degree. Brian's shape wandering, filming; his mask. Jade fading out of existence within the same room, and his hand passing through the space she'd been.]

[He had wandered out into the snow, certain he was dying, told Clint at length how he was fake, and removed all outer layers but his t-shirt and sunglasses to let reality get it over with.]

[It takes him a good hour to answer.]
