[It takes a few moments for Bucky to get an answer. Long enough that he might be tempted to knock a second time before the door suddenly unlocks and swings slowly inwards.
The candles lighting the area behind him cast an eerie glow on his silhouette, but the voice is unmistakable as Undertaker speaks.]
And presently there came a rapping at my chamber door~ How might I help yoooou~?
[He doesn't look outwardly unnerved, though his posture is stiff as he remembers the last time they met one another. He'd rather this not end in a fist fight again.]
[He leans in to look Bucky up and down, not so close that he's entirely in his personal space but enough to note his newly attached arm. He straightens back after a few seconds and beckons him inside with a curl of his fingers.]
I was simply curious~ He stayed with you after the dodgy business with Sherlock, after all~
About him and his consulting detective, of course. [Well if Bucky isn't going to take a seat, he will. There's one fewer coffin inside his house than there had been before, but he just plops down on the available one and crosses one leg over the other.]
[He's not really sure what this is, but he's not about to give away anything that could be considered personal or private. So he just shrugs, his answer as bland as it could possibly be.]
I did. To be honest, I'm a bit worried about Doctor Watson's situation with him. To me, it sounds like Sherlock's regularly putting him into emotionally distressing situations.
[And that part is him being completely honest, at least.]
John sucks at picking worthwhile people to be friends with. But he's a good man to stick with the people that hurt him, and he makes them better for it.
[He's still smiling, but there's a distinct impression that he's watching Bucky very closely from where he's perched. Or perhaps listening intently would be more accurate.]
Hmm. [Falling silent, he shifts a few things around in his head. Perhaps it wasn't Sherlock who was the root of the root of the problem. Well, not the root but still not absolved from some responsibility, either.]
I think I understand. Much better now, at least.
[Hopping back to his feet he gives another motion of his hand towards Bucky.]
That's all I wanted. If you'd like to leave you can.
[He doesn't move yet. Not that he particularly wants to stay, but because he's confused over what Undertaker has exactly got that he couldn't have got before from John himself.]
